One album.
One broken world.
Dreamhole began six years ago as a collaboration between John and Eric and gradually grew into something much larger than a collection of songs.
Inspired by the isolation and psychological rupture of the COVID era, the album follows Neil, an outsider moving through grief, disillusionment, isolation, spiritual emptiness, and a world increasingly saturated with manipulation and false certainty.
The story begins at a lake—a place of escape, where drinking becomes a way to get away from the world and drugs are taken in the hope of curing COVID. From there, it expands across decades of personal and cultural trauma. Images of 9/11, war, loss, solitude, faith, and defiance become part of Neil’s search for meaning in a world that repeatedly promises transformation but never seems to change.
Over six years, the music was written, recorded, dismantled, rebuilt, mixed, and reshaped until every song became part of the same world. The project eventually expanded into a complete graphic novel, allowing the album’s recurring images—the lake, the bells, the dreamhole, the return of the dragonflies, and Neil’s refusal to kneel—to exist visually as well as musically.
The Age of the Anti-Christ is the finished result: a dark, atmospheric album about loss, survival, isolation, and the stubborn act of continuing to search for truth when every answer feels corrupted.
